NEW LIFE CRAFTS FOR MISSIONS

Our Mission Statement  . . . . . . . Using our God-given talents to create “new life” out of old, recycled materials, even as we remember the “new life” He gives to us through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

New Life Crafts for Missions will meet on Tuesday, January 28th at 6 p.m. in the lower level Sunday School rooms. All ages are welcome to participate in this vibrant ministry at Christ UMC. New Life Crafts Ministry is open to everyone for the purpose of using our God-given talents to create "new life" out of old recycled materials, even as we remember the "new life". He gives us through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Early on in this ministry we set two goals:

  1. To create a time of fellowship, laughter and goodwill among those who participate in this ministry, while bringing specialty crafts to our friends and neighbors in our church and community.

  2. To raise money for Mission support.

In 2019 we undertook another goal: 3. To identify a service project to go out into our community and share the love of Christ with those who need encouragement. We were blessed to provide adult bibs to several nursing facilities in our area from material that was donated to us, and to create sleeping mats for the homeless form the recycled plastic bags that you, our church family, so generously provided. These mates were distributed to the folks at Our Daily Bread the week of Thanksgiving. God is working in and through this ministry to  bring the love of Christ to all people. Wound you consider joining us? Be watching for a recap of our 2019 efforts, and for our 2020 meeting schedule in upcoming bulletins and on here. Blessings to our church family for good health and happiness in the New Year, The Craft Ministry Team

All are welcome to join us as we create "new life" out of old, recycled materials - just as Christ gave us "new life" through His life, death and resurrection.  "Not to us, Oh Lord, not to us, but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." - Psalm 115:1
