NEW LIFE CRAFTS FOR MISSIONS

New Life Crafts for Missions  is excited to share with our church family that throughout 2022 we participated in six craft shows beginning with a Spring Bazaar in April and ending with Christmastime in Loganville in November.  At each show we invited folks to take a “Message of Hope” consisting of bible verses that you graciously contributed.  We are pleased to report that 779 “Messages of Hope” were handed out during 2022.  We learned that folks are thirsting for the hope that God’s word brings to them. Earlier this week we held our first meeting for the new year.  In that meeting we voted to continue bringing “Messages of Hope” to our community friends in 2023, so we want to encourage you to pass along, to Linda Hostler, any scriptures that are especially meaningful to you that might encourage another on their faith journey.  Also at this meeting we voted to distribute the proceeds from our 2022 craft shows – a total of $2,800 was raised – to DiscipleMakers, Women’s Care Center of York, House of Hope, LifePath Ministries and assistance to families in need in our community. Now we are looking forward to some new ideas for 2023 and would welcome new members to join this ministry.

We meet on the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday mornings each month at 10:00 AM and the 4th Tuesday evening  at 6:00 PM.   Our next meeting will be Tuesday, January 24th at 6:00 PM.  Kris Clark will be leading this class and we will be painting/decorating gourds.  We would love to see you there! Currently we are in need of donations for some of our on-going crafts:  recycled or new Greeting cards (Christmas and all-occasion), CD’s, buttons (the size of a nickel, smaller than a quarter), picture frames and spring/summer artificial flowers.  Donations can be dropped off in the craft room at any time.  Thank you, church family, for your support of this ministry.

All are welcome to join us as we create "new life" out of old, recycled materials - just as Christ gave us "new life" through His life, death and resurrection.  "Not to us, Oh Lord, not to us, but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." - Psalm 115:1
